The 2026 Event – Part 2, will complete the vast majority of pubs in the town of Witney.
The Witney Pub Crawl Challenge 2026
This year, 2026, just as we thought we had completed the challenge, now comes along Part 2, visiting the pubs in Witney.
Witney, although being a rather smallish market town to the west of Oxford, has more than its fair share of pubs.
So in September we plan to visit 20 of them. Thanks to Dave for researching the pubs and working out a route.
The route is nearly four (country) miles long, so don’t forget the bottled water, sun tan lotion and sandwiches.
(marmite ones are option). The proposed list and map is below.

1. The Company of Weavers (Start)
is a Wetherspoon pub in the Market Square. Meet at 10:00am for breakfast or 11:00 am for first beer.

2. Fleece Hotel
overlooking Church Green.

3. Angel Inn
In the Market Square, boasting a fantastic selection of craft beers and great food.

4. The Crafty Pint
is cosy, friendly micropub bringing you the best craft beers in Langdale Court.

is situated in Newlands with a wide selection of drinks and homecooked food.

broad range of beers, each thoughtfully developed to showcase distinctive flavours.

a friendly pub in the heart of Witney, serving local beers.

17. Part & Parcel
is the newest addition to the Dodo Pub Co. family, located in the Old Post Office building in the Market Square.

in the High Street

19. The Plough
located on the High Street, widely regarded as the oldest pub in the area.

20. Ye Olde Cross Keys (Finish)
is a traditional pub dating back to 1769.
This date is also the Witney in Pink event, which is an annual community event, which has raised thousands of pounds for the Against Breast Cancer charity.
So hopefully we can wear somthing pink and raise some money for this well worth charity.
